Hi! I’m wondering if I can deduct money from my tenant’s security deposit. I had scheduled my plumber to come out due to a leak and then my contractor to come out the same day to give me an estimate on getting access to the crawl space. When my plumber came the tenants cussed him out and impeded the investigation thus not fully learning that I didn’t need to pay $1200 for access to a crawl space. I am wondering if I can charge the tenants for making access to the crawlspace because had they let the plumber do his job I wouldn’t have had to make one. Thanks for your advice!
