# Maintenance Request Notification SMS

I would like to have a feature where Avail can text (SMS) your mobile phone when a new maintenance request is created. This seems like a really simple ask, but I am sure that there’s more to it behind the scenes. When I receive requests by email, there may be several hours that elapse and I want to provide a better experience for my tenants. A text alert would keep me on top of what is going on in real-time. SMS notifications could have other utility in Avail.
