Landlords: Do you use Facebook Marketplace to list your rentals? If so, are you posting your listing directly to Facebook Marketplace or are you using a service to syndicate your listing to Facebook Marketplace? Yes, I placed one of my rentals on FB market place the last time it was available. I placed the ad directly and did not go through a third party service. I also did use messenger to communicate with potential applicants. I got TONS of response, and was even able to manage my conversations in a folder to keep everything tidy. ---

Yes! I find FB marketplace gets a lot of quick responses and I rented my two properties via FB marketplace. It also gives you a little insight of the potential renter since you can search the person via FB. Use to use Craigslist but find due to so many scams on Craigslist, it’s getting to where a lot of folks are reluctant to use Craigslist ---

I definitely take advantage of the opportunity to “see” what that person is like on FB. It gives great insight into what kind of tenant that person can potentially be. ---

I recently listed a rental on FB marketplace, Zillow (lists with Trulia and Redfin automatically), and Craigslist. More than 90 people through FB asked if my rental was still available. When I screened with the following questions: job, # of years at current job, income, number of people, pets, current rent and credit score, only about 1/3 followed up with a response. Of those, _none_ of the FB applicants met my criteria for showing the place. I showed the place to 4 applicants who did meet my criteria; 2 applicants found my rental through CL, 2 applicants found through Zillow rents. I ended up renting to a person through Zillow. The nice thing about Zillow is that the applicant pays Zillow $29 to apply and Zillow automatically does a background check. ---
