# Have you ever had to kick a tenant's guest out of your property? What's the story?

So I was browsing a few other forums and read about a pretty horrible tenant situation where the landlord had to have a tenant’s guest removed from the property (yikes).

For you landlords out there, have you ever had to kick a tenant’s guest out of your property? What’s the story?

My lease says the tenant is fully responsible for their guest’s behavior. If another person has moved in without being on the lease, I offer to add that person to the lease in order to relieve them of full responsibility. It’s not my job to deal with their guests…I only deal with the tenant who I hold accountable.

That’s a no go for me. I don’t allow anyone to move into the unit without my approval. No extended stay guests, no additional residents not on the lease. One thing to have a family member in town for a weekend or something but this is where things get really tricky. Gotta make it clear in that lease.
