I have a prospective tenant who is interested in renting – I have several units available and she’s adamant about the garden level studio. There have been a few break-ins in the neighborhood and she said she’s ok with it, but I feel uneasy about it… this is a street-side unit and the window latch has been having issues. She seems like she would be an incredible renter though, what would you do?

While I totally respect and appreciate the consideration here, it really comes down to what the is prospective renter wants to do. They’re ready and willing to rent a garden unit, and again, I think most absolutely appreciate the concern, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t just get the window latch fixed and sign a lease with her. @JPlandlord

Same I’d fix that latch and call it a day. She wants to rent, sounds like a qualified applicant and more over she WANTS the unit??! So rent to her.
